The staff of CASA of Laramie County works diligently to recruit, screen, train, supervise and support CASA advocates to serve and advocate for children in foster care. The staff are available to advocates to support in case management, court proceedings and documentation, and accessing community resources for the child. Staff work alongside CASA advocates throughout their entire case to provide guidance and support as they work together to end the cycle of abuse and neglect in the community with the ultimate goal to Change a Child’s Story.
Executive Director
Sarah Urbanek
My name is Sarah Urbanek. I first became a CASA advocate in Georgia in 2013. I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children who had been placed in the foster care system, at no fault of their own. I rapidly fell in love with the organization. I saw first hand the difference having an advocate can have for a child. When I moved back to Cheyenne, I quickly became an advocate here. Eventually I transitioned from being an advocate to a member of the Board of Directors. In 2020, I was given the opportunity to become the Executive Director for CASA of Laramie County, and I couldn’t be more honored to work in this position. Each day, I see the ways advocates are changing the lives of the children they work with, and it is truly amazing!

I was hired in February of 2023; I am excited to work for CASA of Laramie County. It has always been something I wanted to be a part of, being a voice for children that have been abused and neglected. Being part of this organization and seeing how much of a difference every advocate is making in the children's lives.
