Are you interested in being the voice for a child in foster care? Do you want to be somebody who can speak up for that child’s needs, wishes, and in their best interest? Then join us for New Advocate Training on June 1st, 2023. With an average of 5-10 hours a month, you can Change a Child's Story and give them hope by being their CASA advocate. During training, you will learn about what child abuse and neglect is, risk factors impacting abuse and neglect, such as domestic violence, substance abuse, and poverty. You will learn about diversity, advocacy, and trauma. All training materials are aimed to equip caring folks in our community capable of being an advocate for children in foster care. Classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting June 1st, 2023 and ending on June 27th, 2023 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and dinner will be provided.
